Vice-Chancellor of TNJFU Dr. S. Felix made his maiden visit to the Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology, Thanjavur yesterday (12.04.18) for an official discussion with the Director Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan. A warm welcome was given to the Vice-Chancellor by IIFPT. Director briefed about the major pathways crossed throught out the years in establishing this premier food processing institute. Vice-Chancellor along with his team made a thorough visit to all the labs and centres of the institute to understand the nitty-gritty involved in establishing this beautiful institute. Various innovative food products brought out by the institute like millet ice cream and flavoured neera was served and explained. This visit is significant as it may render lessons in corroborating of introducing a program catering to the need of fisheries food sector.
