ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra was organized Jal Sakthi Abhiyan Kisan mela at Anna Hall, Sembanarkoil, Nagapattinam on 16.11.2019. Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mr. Pown raj inaugurated the exhibition stalls and delivered chief guest address. He delivered a speech an importance of water management practices to be followed in the households and agricultural practices. Dr. A. Srinivasan, Registrar, TNJFU delivered presidential address water management practices in Fish Culture activities. Mr. R. Giridharan, Deputy Director, Central water commission delivered a speech as the history behind the formation of Jal sakthi abiyan ministry and the role of people and farmers in conservation of water for future generation Dr. Rajkumar, Director of Extension Education explained the importance of ground water rechange methods that can be followed. Earlier, Dr. A. Gopalakannan welcomed the gathering Dr. V. Kannan, SMS (Agronomy)delivered vote of thanks. Mr. E. Hino Fernando, SMS (Fisheries Extension) anchored the programmed. More than 500 farmers from near blocks and villages participated and benefitted. All SMS and other staff of KVK coordinated and arranged for the well conduct of the programme.
