ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, TNJFU, Sikkal, Nagapattinam District celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2020 at the KVK, Sikkal. Dr. S. Muthukumar, SMS (Animal Husbandry) welcomed the gathering. Dr. R. Divya, Asst. Director of Horticulture presided over the meeting and delivered the importance of celebrating Women's day. Panchayat President Mrs. R. Vimala Raja insisted on the achievements made and development of women in various fields. Union council member Mrs.R.Gowri participated as special invitee in this program. Mr. K. Ragu, SMS(Horticulture), delivered lecture on Nutrition garden and kitchen garden cultivation technology. Dr. K. Chandrasekar, SMS (Plant Protection) delivered lecture on bio inputs preparation methods.

Musical chair competition and Passing the ball game were conducted among the participants and prize were distributed to the winners. Mr. E. Hino Fernando, SMS (Fisheries Extension) given vote of thanks. Mr. R. Vedharethinam, Farm Manager and Ms. G. Ramya, Programme Asst. (Computer) arranged the program in befitting manner.
