The Seventh Scientific Advisory committee meeting of the KVK, Sikkal was conducted on 25.3.2019 at the KVK, Sikkal.

Dr. A. Gopalakannan, Programme Co-ordinator, KVK, Sikkal delivered welcome address. Dr. R. Jayaraman, Director of Extension Education in-charge, Tamialnadu Dr.J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU), Nagapattinam presented the concept note. Dr. S. Felix, Vice-Chancellor, TNJFU presided over the meeting. In his presidential address, he expressed his happiness in bringing this KVK under the administrative control of Tamil Nadu Dr.J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU), Nagapattinam with effect from 1.4.2018. Earlier it was functioning under the administrative control of the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore from 2004 onwards.

Dr.S. Felix stated that it is necessary to develop farm specific /location specific technologies for the farmers. He observed that the KVK is located in a coastal district and hence fisheries and fish production and Fish product preparation technologies need to be transferred to the farmers as part of Integrated Farming System. However, the Annual Action Plan of the KVK will address all the necessary crops, animal husbandry and other practices followed in the district. He said that the University is taking necessary steps in and making this KVK a model KVK in the State.

Dr. Ambedgar, Director, Tamil Nadu Rice Research Institute, Aduthurai in his technical speech briefed the farmers on the various agricultural activities being carried out in the delta region and suitable methods for improving the income of the farmers. Dr. Nagarajan, Principal Scientist and Officer-in-charge, IARI Rice Breeding and Research Centre, Aduthurai suggested some district specific rice tolerant varieties for cultivation in saline affected areas. The Programme Coordinator presented the recommendations of the last SAC meeting and action taken report of the previous Scientific Advisory committee meeting. Subject Matter Specialists Dr. Chandrasekar (Agricultural Entomology), Dr. S. Muthukumar (Animal Husbandry) and E. Hino Fernando, (Fisheries Extension) presented their individual Annual Action Plan report of the current year 2019-20. Members of the scientific advisory committee from various line departments and member farmers participated and gave their ideas and suggestions for including them in the action plan. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Chandrasekar.

ஏழாவது அறிவியல் ஆலோசனைக் குழுக் கூட்டம்

நாகப்பட்டினம் சிக்கல், வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையத்தில் ஏழாவது அறிவியல் ஆலோசனைக்குழுக் கூட்டம் 25.03.2019 அன்று நடைபெற்றது. இக்கூட்டத்தினை தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழக துணை வேந்தர் பேராசிரியர் சுக.பெலிக்ஸ் அவர்கள் தலைமையேற்று நடத்தி வைத்தார். தொழில் நுட்பம் சார்ந்த உற்பத்தியை அதிகரிக்க வேண்டும் வேளாண்மை மற்றும் அதனை சார்ந்த துறைகளில் பல்வேறு நவீன தொழில்நுட்பங்களை கடைபிடித்து ஒரு மாதிரி வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையமாக செயல்பட உள்ளதாகவும் அதற்கான பணிகள் நடந்துவருவதாகவும் கூறினார். மேலும் ஒருங்கிணைந்த பண்ணை முறையில் கால்நடை மற்றும் மீன் சார்ந்த தொழில் முறைகளை கடைபிடிப்பதன் மூலம் விவசாயிகள் இரட்டிப்பு வருமானத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி பொருளாதாரத்தை உயர்த்திக் கொள்ளலாம் என்றும் கூறினார். இக்கூட்டத்தில் ஆடுதுறை, தமிழ்நாடு நெல் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய இயக்குநர் முனைவர் வி.அம்பேத்கர் அவர்கள், நெல் இனப்பெருக்கம் மற்றும் மரபியல் ஆராய்ச்சி மைய இயக்குனர் முனைவர் எம்.நாகராஜன் ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொண்டு கருத்துரை வழங்கினர். மேலும் வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையம் விவசாயிகளுக்காக செயல்படுத்தவேண்டிய பணிகள் குறித்து ஆலோசனைகள் வழங்கினர். தமிழ்நாடு டாக்டர் ஜெ.ஜெயலலிதா மீன்வளப் பல்கலைக்கழக விரிவாக்க கல்வி இயக்குநர் முனைவர் ஆர்.ஜெயராமன் அவர்கள் வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையத்தின் நோக்கங்கள் குறித்து பேசினார். இக்கூட்டத்தில் 2016-17 ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் தற்போது வரையுள்ள வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையத்தின் முக்கிய பணிகள் மற்றும் செயல்பாடுகள் குறித்து திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் அ.கோபாலக்கண்ணன் விரிவாக எடுத்துரைத்தார். மேலும் முந்தைய அறிவியல் ஆலோசனைக்குழுவின் பரிந்துரைகள் மீதான எடுக்கப்பட்ட நடவடிக்கைகள் குறித்து எடுத்துகூறப்பட்டது. நடப்பாண்டிற்கான செயல் திட்டங்கள் மற்றும் செயல்படுத்தப்பட்ட பணிகள், குறிப்பாக வயல் வெளி ஆய்வுகள், முதல் நிலை செயல் விளக்கத்திடல்கள், பயிற்சிகள், விரிவாக்கப் பணிகள் குறித்து அறிவியல் நிலையத்தின் தொழில் நுட்ப வல்லுநர்கள் விளக்கிக் கூறினர். தமிழ்நாடு நெல் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய உழவியல் துறை இணைப் பேராசிரியர் முனைவர் ராஜு, வேளாண்மை துணை இயக்குநர்(பொறுப்பு) திரு. கே.சிவக்குமார், வேளாண்மை வணிகத்துறை துணை இயக்குநர் வி.கிருஷ்ணமூர்த்தி, தமிழ்நாடு கால்நடை பல்கலைக்கழக பயிற்சி மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி நிலைய உதவி பேராசிரியர் மற்றும் தலைவர் டாக்டர் சி.சுரேஷ், கால்நடை பராமரிப்புத்துறை துணை இயக்குநர் டாக்டர் எம்.சம்பத் நபார்டு உதவி பொது மேலாளர் பி.பிரபாகரன், மாவட்ட சிறுதொழில் மைய பொது மேலாளர் திரு. பி.தாமோதரன், வனத்துறையை சார்ந்த வனவர் திரு. எம்.பாலசுப்ரமணியன், பட்டு வளர்ச்சித் துறை உதவி ஆய்வாளர் திருமதி எஸ்.சாந்தி, வேளாண் பொறியியல் துறையைச் சார்ந்த இளநிலை பொறியாளர் திரு. அ.அலாவுதீன் மற்றும் விவசாய உறுப்பினர்கள் திரு.க.ஜீவானந்தம், திரு.பக்கிரிசாமி, திரு.கே.மாரியப்பன், திரு கோ.மோகன்ராஜ், திருமதி.ஆ.ரம்யா, மகளிர் சுய உதவிக்குழு அமைப்பாளர் திருமதி கே.சுமதி, திருமதி எம்.தாஜிநிஷா, திருமதி. சரிதாசெந்தில்குமார் ஆகியோர் கலந்துகொண்டு வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையம் விவசாயிகளுக்கு ஆற்ற வேண்டிய பணிகள் குறித்து ஆலோசனைகள் வழங்கினர். வேளாண்மை அறிவியல் நிலையத்தில் நிறுவப்பட்டுள்ள பல்வேறு செயல் விளக்கத்திடல்களை பார்வையிட்டு கலந்துகொண்ட அனைத்து உறுப்பினர்களுக்கும் செயல்விளக்கம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. முன்னதாக திட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர் முனைவர் அ.கோபாலக்கண்ணன் அவர்கள் வரவேற்புரையாற்றினார்.
